Chapter 8 Find Her!- 100 Days Contract With Alpha Asher Novel Read Online | Bravonovel (2024)

  • Asher's point of view.
  • "I still can't believe it's gone!" I exclaimed as I climbed out of my car and headed towards the mansion, the weight of the situation echoing in my words.
  • The joy written all over my face was so revealing that anyone passing by would sense and see it.
  • I couldn't hold it in; I just couldn't contain the overwhelming happiness bubbling within me.
  • As I walked back into the mansion, a sense of relief washed over me. Finally, I wouldn't be compelled to take a bride solely for the sake of becoming the Alpha.
  • Finally, the opportunity to control my rage had arrived, thanks to the absence of the bead.
  • However, as I approached my room, I noticed Drake standing before my door, and instantly I transformed my smiles into a frown.
  • What I desired least was for Drake to catch wind of my happiness. He had a tendency to pester me with endless inquiries, and I wasn't in the mood for that.
  • "Alpha!" He bowed his head respectfully, opening the door for me to enter my room.
  • The second he had the door shut, I couldn't help but dance for joy. I wasn't sure how to explain the joy in my heart.
  • I was finally free and no longer caged at a spot. I was finally over it.
  • It was never going to happen again. While still revelling in my happiness, my thoughts drifted back to when the lady had taken the beed from me.
  • I could sense the pain in her eyes, but the nature of that pain remained unknown to me.
  • "I didn't ask her about her name!" I realised as I settled down on my bed.
  • I harboured a silent hope that she was doing well and not grappling with overwhelming hardships.
  • I was still trying to get my head together and wishing that nothing happened to her when a knock came at my door.
  • "What is it this time, Beta Drake!?" I asked the second I heard his knock on my door.
  • He opened the door, and seeing me, he gave me a bow.
  • "Can you just go straight to the reason why you are in my room?" I urged, rolling my eyes briefly.
  • "The pack elders want to see you in the meeting hall!" He announced instantly, and it made me snap my gaze to look at him.
  • "They want to see me? And why is that? Last I checked, I don't owe them anything!" I stated, striving not to come across as disrespectful, though it seemed justified given their actions.
  • Most times, I just stay still and wonder why my dad had picked them to be the pack elders.
  • The second I get crowned as the Alpha of all packs, I would definitely switch them with more positive elders.
  • "I am not sure, Alpha Asher, but you are being called upon!" Drake asserted as he gave me a bow again.
  • Despite my initial reluctance, I decided to go and hear them out. In a good mood, I figured it wouldn't hurt to see what they had in mind.
  • "Fine!! I'll go!" I asserted, rising to my feet with a resigned sigh. Already dressed, I left the room and made my way to the hall where the Pack's elders awaited my presence. The anticipation of what they wanted lingered in the air as I approached.
  • Uncertain about their intentions, one thing was clear; I would leave the hall as an angry Alpha. I steeled myself for whatever they had in store.
  • Since Elder Bruno was in the same hall with me, it was marked. He loved getting on my nerves so much, and I couldn't do anything about it.
  • Arriving at the door, I pushed it open, and at that moment, I was welcomed with the sight of the elders well seated.
  • They rose from their seats upon spotting me, eliciting a smile from my lips. Casually sliding my hands into my pockets, I strolled towards my chair.
  • The moment I settled into it, I promptly directed them to take their seats, and without hesitation, they obeyed.
  • "We called you out here just to inform you about the security of the pack! We all know that the Alpha shouldn't be breaking the rules of the mansion right?"
  • Elder Fredrick declared, causing a perplexed furrow of my brows upon sighting him.
  • I wondered why he chose to bring up such a discussion right at the beginning of the day.
  • "We won't be happy if someone comes to inform us that you have a child with them! It is a taboo!" He added, and that was when it all clicked.
  • That was when I realised where he was heading to with his warning. I recalled Bruno coming into my room last night and he was suspicious.
  • They sensed a presence in my room overnight, and that was the focal point of our meeting.
  • "I will never break the rules under normal circumstances, Fredrick! Do not worry!" I declared, acting like nothing had really happened last night.
  • "But..." began Elder Willson, but the instant my fiery gaze locked onto him, he swiftly clamped his mouth shut and pressed his lips together in silence.
  • He knew better than anyone to question my response to certain matters. It was just Bruno's way of trying to hold me back; it was his method of trying to stop me from being the Alpha, and I knew it.
  • "I won't break the rules, and that is final!" I added one more time with an audible voice so they could hear me properly since they couldn't get my words at first.
  • "We believe you, Alpha!" Fredrick nodded his head, trying to act like he wasn't against me too.
  • They were all Bruno men, and I bet they were just waiting for the right time to attack or bite.
  • I scoffed before rolling my eyes. I knew he didn't trust me.
  • "That aside, are you getting ready for the deal we made? You can't be the Alpha until that is done!" Elder Morris started, trying to get my response to his questions.
  • "Absolutely, I'm prepared, more ready than ever!" I declared, a smile finally gracing my lips with a subtle curl.
  • I couldn't help but recall the fact that I had taken out my beed, and controlling my rage was just going to be pretty easy.
  • "I can hardly contain my anticipation to be crowned the Alpha, you know!" I eagerly expressed, but almost immediately, Bruno interjected, offering a different point.
  • "He won't be deemed ready until I decide he's ready! The title of Alpha for the four packs won't be his until I give my approval!" he snarled, his eyes slowly fixing their gaze on me.
  • His words held no deceit; the undeniable truth loomed large that I wouldn't ascend to the role of Alpha for the four packs until he bestowed it upon me, and that's one aspect of him I had intense resentment for.
  • It was a bitter pill to swallow, the realisation that my destiny was tethered to his whims, creating a sense of disdain for my feelings towards him.
  • He was one malevolent elder who wouldn't want to see anyone who didn't agree with his vicious plans succeed.
  • "So for now, he isn't ready! Not until I say so" He stood to his feet and with one last glare at me, he walked out of the hall.
  • "The meeting is over!" I vehemently slammed my hand on the table before rising abruptly from my seat, exiting the hall with determination.
  • "Alpha Asher, are you okay?" Beta Drake asked the second he sighted me coming out of the hall with fury etched across my face.
  • "Let's leave!" I tightened my fist as I ignored his question.
  • I just wished to get to my room and rest my head to calm my raging nerves, but who would have thought that something else awaited me in my room?
  • Just when I thought I had seen it all for the day, I opened my room door but instead of being welcomed by peace and quietness, I was welcomed by the irritating and disgusting sight of Claire standing in my room.
  • "Alpha Asher!" she cried out, hastening toward where I stood. Without delay, she dropped to her knees, tears welling up in her eyes.
  • Was she that desperate to be the Luna? I thought inwardly, a sense of disgust coursing through my veins.
  • "What the hell are you doing here?" I asked with an icy tone, my glare fixed on her.
  • "Please, Alpha Asher... Accept me... Take me as your bride, and I swear you won't regret it! Please!" she begged, hands rubbing together in earnest pleas.
  • "You can't love an insane Alpha, Claire... Don't act like you care about me so much. Even if you do, trust me, you'll still mean nothing to me! I swear with my life!" I snarled through my gritted teeth as I forcefully pulled my legs out of her clutches and stepped backward.
  • "Beta Drake!!" I called with a commanding voice that was deep and authoritative.
  • "Yes, Alpha Asher!" He rushed into the room at the call of his name.
  • "Take her out and keep her out of my sight! I don't want to see her ever again!" I commanded, and Beta Drake obeyed my orders.
  • He forcefully held Claire and pulled her out of my room.
  • "Asher! Asher please!" She cried on and on, but I didn't listen to her. Instead, I turned my back against her, not wanting to hear or see her.
  • "Shut my door behind you!"
  • The second Beta Drake took her out of the room, he had my door shut, and it made me smile knowing that finally she had left.
  • A few minutes later, my door swung open once more, revealing Drake standing before me, breathless and panting all of a sudden.
  • "What's the matter? Didn't she..." I started to inquire, but before I could finish, Drake began to divulge the details.
  • "It's the full moon tonight, Alpha Asher!" he declared, attempting to catch his breath.
  • "And what does that have to do with me?" I asked, turning to him to get a response from.
  • "Your rage…" he was going to keep saying, but I cut in, knowing exactly what he was trying to utter to me.
  • "Leave my room, Drake!" I ordered, and although I could see the reluctance in his eyes, he bowed his head and dashed out of the room.
  • I understood that he was worried and concerned about me, but then I was fine. I was certain I could control my rage now because the unknown Omega had helped me with it.
  • With a smile gracing my lips, I walked over to the window, and with my eyes staring at the moon, I anticipated the full moon moment.
  • As the night advanced, the eagerly awaited moment I had yearned for drew near. The looming full moon signalled its incoming arrival.
  • In that precise moment, my gaze was captivated by the sight before me; the full moon revealed itself in all its glory, a radiant orb casting its luminous glow.
  • Echoes of distant howls to the moon filled the air, harmonising with its display.
  • With a serene smile gracing my lips, I allowed the enchantment of the moment to unfold as I gently closed my eyes.
  • I was ready to shift into my wolf form without struggling, but the second I opened my eyes, hoping to see myself in my wolf form, I was stunned to see that I didn't shift; not even my claws were visible as I stared at my hand.
  • "I must have made a mistake… I just need to feel it!" I took a deep breath and lifted my face towards the direction of the moon.
  • I was getting ready to shift, but as if I was cursed, I opened my eyes to find out that I was still in my human form.
  • "What the hell is happening!?" I muttered, my eyes beginning to quiver as I stared at my body.
  • There were no furs, no claws, and my eyes were normal.
  • Just then, I tried again, I tried one more time, but to no avail. I didn't shift to my wolf form.
  • This made me more scared than anything else; it made me more scared than seeing those troubling dreams at night.
  • "An Alpha that can't shift into his wolf form?" My eyes widened in shock and disbelief as I instinctively fell to the ground on my knees.
  • My heart began to race faster as I realised that I was doomed. I was doomed for life.
  • "No, I can't let this happen! I can't!" I declared as my quivering eyes turned to the door.
  • "Drake!!!" I bellowed, and almost immediately, Drake rushed into the room, panting, ready to help me out.
  • "You are not in your wolf form... What is wrong?" He asked, staring at me with confusion filled in his eyes.
  • "I am more stunned than you are, Drake! I…" I was going to say, but just then, I recalled when she had asked me if I was sure about my choice.
  • "She did this to me!" I snapped, standing to my feet.
  • "She? Who?" Drake questioned, confusion still etched across his face.
  • "The girl I brought back to the pack! She took my beed to stop the rage!" I disclosed what should have just been a secret to both me and her.
  • "What!? How can you give out your beed to a mere omega?" Drake argued as his eyes bulged in disappointment.
  • It was obvious that what I had just done was dangerous.
  • "You need the beed to be able to shift as an Alpha! You can't shift without it!" His words instantly pulled me into action.
  • I felt a sense of urgency cou rse through my veins, and all I wanted back was my beed.
  • "FIND HER!!!" I ordered with my fist clenched in anger. "FIND HER NO MATTER WHAT AND BRING HER BACK HERE!!!"
  • "I assure you, Alpha Asher!"
